Brayden Young
I'm a lighting designer and technician for theatre, opera and live events. I specialise in diving into the heart of what a client wants the finished product to feel like — and keeping the weight of technical decisions off their plate.
I got my start studying technical theatre at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX, earning a B.F.A. with an emphasis in lighting design. From there I expanded into assisting with lighting rig installs and strikes for live events, and working as an overhire electrician at several theatres across the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex.

How a Show Gets Built
A design is only as good as the paperwork behind it. This is the order I work in, and what a producer or director can expect to receive at each stage.
Paperwork
Channel hookups, instrument schedules, colour and gobo counts, magic sheets and cue synopses. Every document is built so a crew that has never met me can hang the rig correctly without a phone call.
